We believe in keeping things simple.

That doesn't mean basic.

It means easy, efficient, and above all cost effective for you!

We don't believe in re-inventing the wheel (unless you want a brand new wheel).

So if you ask us for a shopping cart, a discussion forum, a guest book, an online photo gallery . . . you wont see £££ signs light up in our eyes as we tot up how much we can charge you for designing and creating a custom one from scratch. Why not? Because these things (and many more we haven't listed) already exist - in vast quantities! Some are even free! So what we will do is suggest to you, after full discussion of your requirements, what is already available, how it can be customised to fit your site and how it can help you manage you own site. We'll then set it up for you, make the customisation's, do all the testing and even teach you how to use it too. Of course if you do want a dynamic site built from scratch we'll happily discuss that with you too - but, hey - it costs more!

Geek speak is a foreign language to most.

So we wont use it any more than we really, and we mean really, need to. After all, if you understood all that geeky gobbledook about server capacity and scripting languages, the difference detween a DIV and a SPAN, nested tables and layers, inline or css, PHP or CGI you'd be doing your own site deveopment wouldn't you? Not talking to us about it. We promise not to blind you with science. And if ever we do say anything you are not 100% certain you understand then just tell us and we'll find another way to say it, and will keep doing so until it makes sense to you - it's our problem if we can't explain it, not yours for not understanding it.
But we can't explain the off-side rule - so don't ask.

Sometimes we ask a lot of questions.

But they are all relevant. We ask them so we can get the best possible picture of what it is you want to acheive with your site. So not just about what colours you want, which pictures to use, how long is your text, but also questions about your business, your customers and your plans for the future so we can build that into the design of your site. After all you don't buy a 2 seater sports car if you're about to have triplets do you. (Well, not unless you had money to burn.)

We believe your site should be usable by as many of your potential customers as possible.

So we'll address issues such as cross browser compatibility, accessibility and content in discussion with yourselves to develop the best plan of action.

We don't like living on a mushroom farm and we don't expect you to live on one either.

So we keep you informed and up to date at every stage. At any time you are free to phone or email to ask anything you want - however trivial it may seem - and you'll often find us online to chat too as well. (full details of every possible way to contact us will be given as soon as work is agreed)

We believe that payments methods should be easy and simple

We don't ask you to meet us in car park after 10 pm to hand over cash. In our experience the easiest method for payment is PayPal, so we use PayPal. This means you can pay us by credit card even. If PayPal is not for you then we're happy to discuss alternative payment methods but PayPal is the only way we can take credit card payments at present.

We like to meet our clients - but we don't insist on it

Who wouldn't like to meet everyone they work with? But over the years we've worked with many people we've never met and some we didn't meet until a long way into, or even following completion of, a project. The internet has made it possible for people who have never met, never spoken even, to collaborate on projects and such collaborations have led to many great developments. If you live far away and can't make it to us we'll discuss your requirements by email, by phone, by instant message - whatever suits you. But if we can meet then so much the better.
We like hot tea, in china cups in places where they sell nice gooey cakes :). And chocolate cakes are best.

We won't ride rough shod over your wishes.

If you know how you want your site to be then we accept that. We will create your site that way. We will of course advise you on where it could be improved, which bits might not work, which bits don't conform to 'norms' and standards etc etc but we won't just run away with it and change it all without consultation first. You may have very good reason for wishing to ignore the 'norms' - we respect that. Heck, we'll even tell you if you've found a design idea so brilliant we don't think we'd have ever come up with it ourselves.

On the other hand if you have no idea what you want, or how it should it look we'll happily come up with a whole concept for you. In fact we'll come up with a few and then between us we can decide which way to develop your site.
